FSA Pharmacy Benefits Card - Learn More
Effective July 1, 2009 all Health Care FSA participants have access to the Pharmacy Benefits Card for prescription (retail and mail-order) and over-the-counter (OTC) drug purchases. Participants can simply swipe the Card at participating merchants, and any eligible items or co-pays will be automatically charged to their FSA account (as long as there is a sufficient balance). The merchant will sort out your purchases and request a different form of payment for any non-FSA eligible items.
You should use your Pharmacy Benefits Card for reimbursement of prescription (retail and mail-order) and OTC drugs, to avoid having to submit claims for these services manually.
However, unless your mail-order prescription provider is listed below, you will not be able to use the Pharmacy Benefits card for payment of mail-order pharmacy charges, and claims for these services will still need to be filed manually to Benesyst.
