National Nutrition Month occurs every March and is designed to draw attention to the importance of making informed food choices. Eating a variety of healthy foods, in proper amounts, can actually reduce your risk for certain chronic health problems such as diabetes, obesity, heart disease and hypertension. 

The American Dietetic Association offers a variety of nutritional resources including 20 Ways to Enjoy More Fruits, Vegetables, Whole Grains and Dairy, as well as several ideas for healthy entrees and snacks with their 2010 list of National Nutrition Month Recipes.

Additonally, the You U Cafeteria can also provide you with resources to assist you in eating right and maintaining a healthy weight. A change in nutrition doesn’t have to be dramatic to make a difference!
