Consumer Driven Health Plan

The Anthem CDHP under the Northrop Grumman Health Plan uses the Blue Cross Blue Shield network.

Features of the plan and how it works:

  • Preventive Care
    • You are covered at 100% for nationally recommended services, with no deductions from your HRA
  • Health Reimbursement Account (HRA)
    • You receive funds from Northrop Grumman for your HRA
    • The plan pays 100% when funds are available
    • You can use the funds for HRA extras
  • The "Bridge" (Amount that you pay out-of-pocket, before the plan begins to pay benefits)
    • If your medical expenses exceed the funds in your HRA, you pay a limited out-of-pocket amount
    • You pay only as expenses are incurred
    • This amount can be reduced or eliminated by HRA rollover funds
  • Traditional Health Coverage
    • Additional protection covers the services allowed by Northrop Grumman
    • You pay coinsurance for covered services
    • You are covered 100% after coinsurance maximum is met
