Eligible employees can take advantage of the following additional benefits, which vary by business sector and location.

Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.


Short-term Disability Benefits
Short-term disability benefits are designed to provide you with income for up to 26 weeks if you are absent from work due to illness or injury. Most non-represented employees (and some represented employees) are covered by the Corporate Short-Term Disability (STD) Plan with benefit levels and eligibility varying by sector, as indicated below. In addition, some sectors offer their own STD plans to certain employee groups.

Sector  Short-term Disability Benefits 
Aerospace Systems
  • Pays 100% base weekly earnings for 6 weeks, then 70% for the next 20 weeks
  • Maximum weekly benefit is $8,100
  • Automatically enrolled at no cost if you regularly work 20 or more hours per week
Aerospace Systems (Sector STD plan for certain legacy Space Technology business units)
  • Pays 60% of base weekly earnings for up to 26 weeks
  • Maximum weekly benefit is $1,000
  • Automatically enrolled at no cost if you regularly work 20 or more hours per week
Aerospace Systems (Sector STD plan for certain legacy Integrated Systems employees in paycode 1)
  • Pays 50% of earnings for up to 26 weeks
  • Maximum weekly benefit is $350
  • Automatically enrolled at no cost
Corporate
  • Pays 100% of base weekly earnings for 6 weeks, then 70% for the next 20 weeks
  • Maximum weekly benefit is $8,100
  • Automatically enrolled at no cost if you regularly work 20 or more hours per week
Electronic Systems    
  • Pays 100% of base earnings for 6 weeks, then 70% for the next 20 weeks
  • Maximum weekly benefit is $4,000
  • Automatically enrolled at no cost if you regularly work 20 or more hours per week
  • Excludes Hourly employees, certain entity 78 Salaried employees in Maryland locations hired prior to 1/1/10, and Sunnyvale Union Salaried employees; Includes certain Technical Services and Information Systems employees
Electronic Systems (Sector STD plan that applies to Hourly Represented and Non-Represented employees and certain entity 78 Salaried employees in Maryland locations hired prior to 1/1/10)
  • Pays 50% of base earnings up to 26 weeks
  • For Hourly Represented and Non-Represented employees in Maryland locations, plan pays 70% of base earnings for 6 weeks, then 50% for next 20 weeks 
  • Maximum weekly benefit is $1,150
  • Automatically enrolled at no cost if you regularly work 20 or more hours per week
Information Systems
  • Pays 100% of base weekly earnings for 6 weeks, then 70% for the next 20 weeks
  • Maximum weekly benefit is $4,000
  • Automatically enrolled at no cost if you regularly work 20 or more hours per week
Technical Services (applies to certain TS employees)
  • Pays 100% of base weekly earnings for 6 weeks, then 50% for the next 20 weeks
  • Maximum weekly benefit is $2,500
  • Optional buy-up up to 70%
  • Automatically enrolled in basic coverage at no cost if you regularly work 20 or more hours per week
